MAXX Review— How good is it?

I know what you’re thinking, and I had the same thought. Another proprietary device? Another “new way to vape”?

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably worked your way through handfuls of 510 threaded batteries, owned a few PAX devices and maybe even a Cliq battery or two. Aside from different levels of discreetness, I haven’t noticed too much of a difference between the performance of any of them. Enter the MAXX battery by Maximum Scientific.  

Maximum Scientific states their new battery is a “High-tech cannabis vape designed with flavor in mind. Meticulously crafted with TERP TEMP TECHNOLOGY for maximum flavor and maximum vapor.”

The battery is a variable temperature device with three temperature settings and a preheat option, which is pretty standard. But we all know that your battery is only as good as the cart or pod you plug into it, and that is where the MAXX device really stands out. 

In Oregon, Maximum Scientific has partnered with Nogero to bring full spectrum extract pods to market. These pods are the real MVP. Not only are the MAXX pods full grams, they are comparatively priced to their 1/2g Pax Pod counterparts. Nogero has partnered with premier growers like Resin Ranchers and Earl Baker to deliver some delicious and heavy hitting selections, most of which are in the range of 6-9% terpenes.

This week, I was lucky enough to get my hands on an Animal Cookies X Kush Mints MAXX pod Nogero and Earl Baker put out as a collaborative effort. Coming in at 6.19% terpenes (heavy on caryophyllene and limonene), 70.9% THC and less than 1% CBD, this pod packed quite the punch. 

The flavor was spectacular and really emphasized the traits of the Kush Mints. The effects were also very pleasant. The high was relaxing and euphoric, and I was able to focus with ease. If you come across one of these pods in your travels, I would definitely recommend the purchase.

Is the MAXX by Maximum Scientific going to change the way you vape? Probably not.

But the oil in the pods is top notch, and the device does seem to be a stellar delivery system for it. I personally can’t wait to see what strains come next!
